Climbers Log

Like a divers log, this would be a physical log to remember all of your climbs, who your climbing partner was, what you climbed, what you liked about it, etc.

V.2 is climberslog.com where climbers post their comments about their climbing experiences and allow others to learn valuable info about areas that they might visit.

Oh yeah, by the way, I own the domain climberslog.com…..

Sounds like an iPhone app could do all of this for you – location, proximity, altitude updates automatic with the ability to add notes, take photos/video each time you enter the app. All data stored locally or synced with the server.

The website could even export trips to Google Earth – end up with something like this. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2007/10/26/magazine/20071028_KILIMANJARO_GRAPHIC.html#
